This course covers both the International Crew and Day Skipper certificates.
These are certificates of excellence for those candidates who wish to train to become an active crew member on a power or sailing yacht or skipper a yacht of up to 10m length in fair conditions during daylight It includes Introduction to Boating for power and sail yachts.
It is the level of competence that someone needs either when acting as watchkeeping crew on a yacht or as a skipper of a small yacht in protected waters where help is immediately available in calm conditions.
As New Latitudes conducts a 7 day course rather than the minimum 5 days we can fit the Small Powerboat and Rib Master (MCA Recognised) into the programme as well.
